I prefer dark beers and stouts. Strong ales are great too. Beer is the
best drink when eating spicy food.
Beer influenced the development of
statistics in the twentieth century,
and not just because statisticians tend to be very fond of beer!
William Sealey Gossett (aka "Student") worked as a chemist
for the Guinness brewery in Dublin. He devised the t-test to handle
the small samples used in the brewery's quality control processes.
