Selected 1850 U. S. Census Information for Pib's relatives
These extracts from the United States Census of 1850 list some of
my ancestors and their relatives, primarily the Tillotsons and Sextons
from Brunswick, Medina County, Ohio. I had great difficulty reading
some of the photocopies of the census pages. The original pages
have deteriorated badly.

Notes:
- Henry Youmans Sexton
was my great-great-great-grandfather. His daughter
Jane Ann Sexton married
Franklin James Tillotson.
- This page is especially illegible. I could not make out any
of the places of birth or miscellaneous information.
- This census record was taken August 18, 1850 in Brunswick,
Medina County, Ohio.
Henry and his family moved to Duplain,
Clinton County, Michigan a short while after.
- Minerva is Minerva Peat, Henry's wife.
- The younger Henry is William Henry Sexton.
- Mary is Mary Minerva Sexton.
- Ellen is Ellen Eliza Sexton.
- I assume "Francis C." is Charles Sexton,
although I know of no other places where Charles was called Francis.
On the other hand, Charles was born in Connecticut, and this
"Francis" is listed as born in New York. Perhaps he is another
relative (nephew?) of Henry Youmans Sexton.
- Henry's daughter Jane Ann Sexton is not listed as she had married
Franklin James Tillotson in 1847.

- Franklin James Tillotson and
Jane Ann Sexton were my great-great-grandparents.
- Franklin's birthplace "Do." may mean "District of Ohio" or this may
be the abbreviation for "ditto." Unfortunately the previous entry
in this census ledger is unreadable.
Franklin was born in Brunswick, Medina County, Ohio.
- Jane Ann Sexton was the daughter of Henry Youmans Sexton.
- James F. is James Francis Tillotson,
my great-grandfather.
